It was a great day in the Livermore Wine Country at Tenuta Vineyards where Amy and Eric were married! The day was filled with love, laughs and of course great wine. All the wine barrels around the winery were especially helpful for creating those amazing backdrops. And they did a processional out at the end of the evening with bubbles, how fun! Thanks Amy and Eric for allowing me to capture your magical day!

Kissing all around New York City!!

It is always so much fun to visit NYC especially when one of your best friends growing up is living there and can show you around. In between the sight seeing and eating of course we were able to sneak away for a quick Engagement shoot with Jennifer and Ward who are getting married in Berkeley next Fall. We started on Colombia's campus, then Central Park and topped it off on the Brooklyn Bridge. It was so fun to photograph them and capture their short time in NYC before they are off to other ventures. Thanks for letting me capture all the kissing in NYC guys!! You can see more photos from the session in this slideshow!

Introducing Layne!

I had a great time photographing Layne at her first photo session at 5 weeks old! She even gave us a few smiles inbetween the cat naps. It was fun to bring the studio into the Mitzenmacher's home and then also capture some with natural light in front of their SF Bay window. I can't wait to see Layne grow - she is going to be one adorable little girl!
Thanks Kate, Dan and Layne for a great session!

Lindsay and Thomas Wedding in Santa Barbara!

It was a gorgeous day in Santa Barbara at the Four Seasons Biltmore where Lindsay and Thomas said their vows on the ocean front veranda. There were so many nice touches to the wedding, its hard to decide which one to write about ~ in place of wedding favors for their guests they donated to Thomas' uncle's missionary in Africa, they had a dance with the married couple who has been together the longest and who could forget that they served ice-cream with pop rocks on them! What a great day! Thanks for letting me share your special day on the beach!
Visit their wedding slideshow to see all the highlights and feel free to register to see all their wedding images.

Balok Photo Session

It was a great session with the Balok Family once again! Daniel and Haley and their dad celebrated Easter with a photo session. Haley was excited to show off her new smile with no braces - last year she had just gotten them on around our photoshoot. What a great day on the waterfront of Sausalito. Thanks Baloks!

Nadia's Gift

I had the honor of documenting a very special event this month - Nadia's 50th Birthday Party which was named Nadia's Gift. This was a day that celebrated Nadia and benefited cancer research. Seven years ago Nadia was diagnosed with breast cancer and has since been treated for numerous different types of cancer, she is a survivor and a fighter. This day was surrounded by friends and family that supported her battle and were there to celebrate her.

The beautiful sunny event was held at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay. It was a perfect day to golf! Twenty teams set out to golf with a mission in mind - get those birdies! The golf tournament raised over $17,000 for cancer research where a fund will be set up at Standford University in Nadia's name.

Dominic Phillips Event Marketing made sure all the details were taken care of along with creating a colorful, magical space inside the Ritz. After the tournament, they transformed two wings of the hotel into wine cellars, sports and magazine lounges and to top the night off, a Vegas Cabaret Show! This day had many different moving parts with many people involved but it could not have gone more smoother or with more lovely people.

I, and my second shooter, fabulous Stephanie Kleinman of SDK Photo, were really touched when Nadia's husband Peter gave us a group hug at the end of the evening and said, "we did it, could you feel the energy?" And we said, "Yes Peter we could."

We were touched...thank you for allowing us to capture such a beautiful day, life really is so short but so grand.
